Agentforce pricing for ISVs uses Flex Credits on a consumption model. OEM partners buy credits at wholesale; ISVforce partners build agents that consume customer credits. This guide covers SKUs, credit costs, and monetization strategies for both partner types. Agentforce pricing for ISVs works on a consumption-based model using Flex Credits. Whether you’re a Platform partner (OEM) buying credits at wholesale or an ISVforce partner building agents that run on your customer’s credits, understanding the pricing structure is essential for monetization. In this guide, I’ll break down the complete Agentforce ISV pricing structure, including Flex Credits, SKUs, the differences between partner types, and how to build a profitable Agentforce strategy.

Key Takeaways

  • OEM partners buy Flex Credits at wholesale (contact your PAM for pricing). ISVforce partners don’t sell credits.
  • Each Action costs 20 credits. Prompts cost 2–16 credits depending on LLM tier.
  • Three prerequisite SKUs at $0 include 200K free Flex Credits and 250K Data Service Credits.
  • OEM-only org restriction: Platform partners can only sell consumption SKUs where they are the sole seller.
  • A partner can hold both ISVforce and OEM contracts simultaneously.
  • Pre-Purchase is the only GA buying model for ISV partners today. Pay-As-You-Go is on the roadmap.
If you’ve read our previous breakdown of Agentforce pricing for direct customers, you already understand Flex Credits, Actions, and Prompts. This article goes deeper into what ISVs specifically need to know.

What Is Agentforce for ISVs?

Salesforce’s Agentforce for ISVs is a two-product offering. Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) provides the data foundation: unification, harmonization, and real-time access. Agentforce 360 delivers the AI layer: agents, actions, prompts, and automation. The value proposition is straightforward: pre-built agent libraries and RAG capabilities slash development from years to weeks. The built-in Trust Layer handles security and compliance. And Data Cloud being a prerequisite creates a natural opportunity to sell Data 360 alongside your agentic solution.

ISVforce vs. Platform Partners: Two Different Models

This is the most important distinction in the entire Agentforce-for-ISVs story.

Platform Partners (OEM)

Platform partners build full-stack applications on Salesforce and sell into their own dedicated customer orgs. With Agentforce, they:
  • Purchase Flex Credits at wholesale
  • Have access to 6 SKUs through the Channel Order App
  • Control pricing and margins
  • Bear financial responsibility for customer consumption
The trade-off: OEM-only orgs where you are the sole product seller.

ISVforce Partners

ISVforce partners build managed packages that install into existing Salesforce customer orgs (shared orgs). They build agents and list on AgentExchange, but they cannot sell Flex Credits, order Agentforce SKUs through COA, or control the customer’s credit consumption. The customer buys their own credits from Salesforce.

Why ISVforce Partners Should Still Build on Agentforce

There’s a temptation to think: “Why bother if all credit revenue goes to Salesforce?” That’s the wrong framing. Building Agentforce into your ISVforce product is about innovation, adoption, and driving product usage. You can absolutely charge for it as a premium tier, a paid add-on, or baked into your pricing. Many ISVforce partners don’t price per-user anyway. We know businesses charging per document generated, per AUM, per API call. For them, an agent that helps users process more documents or manage more assets directly drives the metric they monetize on. The credit consumption goes to Salesforce; the product usage revenue goes to you. If you’re considering a custom LLM integration, it’s worth thinking twice. Under current ISVforce guidelines, integrations with third-party LLM providers such as OpenAI or Google are not allowed. Partners are expected to use native Agentforce capabilities.

Side-by-Side Comparison

Capability Platform Partner (OEM) ISVforce Partner
Sells Flex Credits Yes, at wholesale No; customer buys own credits
Orders SKUs via COA Yes (up to 6 SKUs) No
Org type OEM-only org (sole seller) Shared orgs (customer’s existing org)
Revenue model Wholesale markup + IP value Per user, flat rate, etc.
Overage liability Partner is responsible Customer is responsible
Data 360 standalone Can sell independently No
You can have both contracts. Many partners do: OEM for greenfield markets where customers don’t have Salesforce, ISVforce for the installed base.

FAQs About Agentforce Pricing for ISVs

+Where can I find the Agentforce Flex Credits rate card?

Both are public: Flex Credits Rate Card and Data Cloud Rate Card.

+How do ISV partners order Agentforce SKUs in the Channel Order App?

Same process as other COA orders. Use the “Shared Org Validation” button first. If you don’t see consumption SKUs in your Partner Product Catalog, follow Salesforce’s instructions to add Bundle Products to your PPC page layout.

+Do Sandbox and Developer Edition orgs consume Flex Credits?

Sandbox yes (20% discount for Actions, full rate for Prompts). Developer Edition and Scratch Orgs no — free, with limits including capped LLM calls.

+What happens if a customer exceeds their purchased credits?

Products keep working. Partners must place an Add-On order by month-end to avoid overage billing. Miss that window and you’re invoiced on the 3rd at the overage rate. Overage credits don’t renew.

+Do unused credits roll over?

No. All credits expire at contract term end.

+What happens if my OEM-only org becomes a shared org?

You can auto-renew but can’t submit new orders. You may lose usage visibility. Customer becomes responsible for overages. This is the single most important thing to communicate to your customers.

+How do partners monitor customer credit usage?

Monthly usage statements from Salesforce. Customers get near real-time Digital Wallet access. Partner real-time dashboards and threshold alerts are on the roadmap.

+What buying models are available?

Pre-Purchase only (Normalized Monthly Pricing, no PNR). Pay-As-You-Go and Pre-Commit are planned for ISV partners — availability subject to change.

+Which Salesforce editions are supported?

Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, Developer only. Professional or Essentials are currently not supported.
